There are only a few representatives that still remain from the birth of the Lollipop Unit.  Stacy Bullen is one of them.  She is in the top 3 of the longest length of association (LOA) in this Unit.  Stacy began selling AVON over 96 campaigns ago.  I remember the day that I met her.  It was a warm & windy Summer at the pick-nick tables at Dairy Queen in Ashland.  The paperwork kept trying to fly away.  I was such a nervous-newbie!  I remember thinking, "Man, this lady really has great potential!"  I was incredibally intimidated by her.  Stacy worked for the school system and had access to alot of women that she could sell AVON to.  That kind of access was a great start for a new represenative.  I was excited!  She was a great recruit for me as I was developing my new Unit.  We were not called the Lollipop Unit at that time.  I just referred to this team as OUR UNIT.  Doesn't "Lollipop Unit" have a better ring to it? 

Through all these years, I've only met up with Stacy twice.  I've barely even got the chance to speak with her about her business.  I blame that on the fact that I was very new at the leadership business and I didn't know what to do to establish a relationship with my team.  Luckilly, I was able to snap this photo after a brief meeting with her a few years ago.  Even though I don't know her business style or have a single tip to give you about how she run's her business, she is still worthy to appear in the spotlight.  I'm thankful for her and I'm glad that she's does so amazing as an Independent AVON Representative that I don't have a need to smother her with my Lollipop Love.  But I do have to say that when she signed our GUESTBOOK this past December, I was secretly squealing with joy!  Stacy, if you ever get the chance to read this...Thank you for being a part of this team!  Even though we never really got the opportunity to become friends, I still think the world of you.

(4 YEARS IN A ROW!!!)


I'll never forget my first conversation with Georgia.  She called me when she found one of my newspaper ads.  I answered my phone, "Hello, this is Candy with AVON."  She said, "Oh, it's AVON!"  with the most disappointed voice.  I asked her, "What's wrong with AVON?"  After answering a few of her questions, she decided to give AVON a try with a NO-OBLIGATION mini kit.  After gaining a few orders, Georgia decided she wanted to sell it.  That was almost 50 campaigns ago. 

Georgia works outside of the home and her time is limited.  In fact, her customers are strictly from her place of employment.  She has had her share of small orders and has become discouraged with AVON.  Most of us do get discouraged at some point, that is normal.  Georgia quit for a few campaigns and became my customer.  But, she decided it was worth being a Representative because of her personal discount.  Besides, people started giving her orders after that point.  

Currently, she is going through a divorce and she has moved.  But that didn't stop her from submitting her largest order this year.......$280!  That made her #6 in Sales for Campaign 25.   GREAT JOB GEORGIA! 

 


This Ohio Representative was referred to AVON by Judy Runyon and she was recruited by Linda Spence into the LIGHTENING UNIT.  Unfortunately, that unit no longer exists, but we are blessed to have Joan roll up to the LOLLIPOP UNIT.  She has sold products for over 33 campaigns.  I've only had the opportunity to meet Joan one time.  I heard that she was going to set up at the CHESAPEAKE OCTOBERFEST, so I drove by to check out her AVON booth and take her picture.  It was such an honor to meet Joan.  Her booth was AWESOME!!  Joan continually places order's between $50 to $200 every campaign.  I'm so glad to have her as part of our team.

 This Ohio Representative was the only result from the ASHLAND TOWN CENTER JOB FAIR last Spring.  I sat at my quiet little table all day long....with no kind of action what-so-ever....and then Deborah approached me about becoming a Represenative right before I gave up for the day.  She's been going strong for 39 campaigns.  As far as I can remember, she has NEVER missed an order and she continues to place regular orders over $100 every campaign.  In campaign #22, Deborah sold $283 in products, which is one of her highest orders this year.  NICE WORK DEBORAH!!

This is the time of year where fall festivals are EVERYWHERE!  You can find them at Schools, Churches, YMCA's, Malls or even Library's.  It is a perfect opportunity to be a vendor.  Most of the time, it don't even cost you a penny to set up a table.  If your lucky, you may even get a table and chairs provided for you.  Recently, Heather Hiscock and I participated in a FREE event at Fairview High School.  (FAIRVIEW FAMILY FUN NIGHT).  Neither one of us has children at this school, but we saw an opportunity to be around thousands of people at the same time.  Our vision was to get as many children around us as possible, so that their mother's would follow.  It worked!!!  Half of our table was set up with books (new and old), a pumpkin full of samples and mini-kits.  We also had a clipboard to collect the names of the six women who decided to give AVON a try.  Heather also made a tri-fold out of cardboard and covered it with halloweeen material.  We taped AVON advertising cards to it for an extra COOL feature.  The other half of the table turned out to be the highlight of the night.  We did FREE hair beading for the girls with our AVON hair beader and we colored the boys hair with spray paint.  Our time spent was about 3 hours.  The only investment I made was the hair paint.....AND......We landed six potential recruits and plenty of potential customers.  Even if we just sat up and passed out books, we couldn't have done wrong by this event. 

I'd also like to mention that TAMMY BARRETT (see photo on left) also participated in her own fall festival at the KENOVA CHURCH OF GOD.  She told me that she was able to take her child with her and she worked at the same time. That is an excellent perk to being your own boss.  Her event was FREE as well.  She didn't invest in any stock, but used the items that she had on hand.  She also passed out books.  I'm sure she will soon be reaping the benefit of new order's because of her effort  WAY TO GO TAMMY!.

ANGIE HENDERSON

This new Representative has definitly started out right.  First, Angie was recruited by Rhonda Burkhart, one of the Lollipop Unit's finest Representatives.  Secondly, she has had over $1760 in award sales in a matter of only 4 campaigns.  She has also been in our TOP 5 in all of those campaigns.  This campaign, Angie has had her highest sales so far....$649.  SWEET! This makes her #2 in sales for Campaign #21.  AVON is thrilled when brand new Representatives start out on the top.  Because of Angie's efforts, she qualifies for her first AVON LOGO PIN that will automatically ship to her directly from AVON.  She is also eligible to receive up to 20 packs of FREE SAMPLES if she continues on this same sales path until Campaign #23.  I am also thrilled to have Angie in the Lollipop Unit.


Every Little Bit Counts

Everyone already knows that our Country is in the middle of a Depression.  Seems like the price to live has increased dramatically, but our paychecks have only stayed the same.  Nothing is the same as it use to be.  Gone are the day's of "shop til you drop" or "lets take the scenic route."  To be honest, it could be a very long time before it gets any better for us.  From what I read, it may never get better for us.

I can definitely relate to the financial woes.  I  have to work outside of the home, just like most of you do.  I am a waitress at a restaurant.  I work very hard.  I value every single dollar that is left on the table for me.  My husband also works for $9 an hour.  After paying our bills every two weeks, we have less than $200 to spend on food and gas for the next two weeks.  We don't have a savings account.  No retirement. And we don't qualify for assistance.  We do without alot of things.  But we do have back-up and that is my AVON business.

My AVON earnings have pulled my family through a rut many times.  This past month my son Brandon broke his arm (see photo on right).  We only had $7 in our personal checking account.  The only way that I was able to make the co-payment was because I had just received my bi-weekly Leadership bonus from AVON. 

Brandon also had a birthday to celebrate on 9/29.  We had the same financial situation going on, but my AVON earnings paid for all of  his gifts, food, decorations and entertainment for his party.

My point is that every little bit counts.  I would never think about letting my business go because of the economy.  Then I'd be Depressed too.  I need this business to feel a tiny bit of dignity, because I'll never get that from my employer.  I need this business to pay for the un-expected.  I need this business because I need YOU in my life.  Don't give up on me ladies!!!  Don't let this economy chew you up and spit you out.  Choose to rise above it!!!  It is a CHOICE!  God Bless Your Businesses!


TAMMY BARRETT

This West Virginia Representative is what every Leadership is searching for when we tailgate or do events.  As a matter of fact, we met her at the WORKING WOMEN'S LUNCHEON, this past spring.  Tammy has placed on-time orders of  $100 or more every single campaign for the last 10 campaigns helping her reach over $1318 in total sales.  She consistantly pays for her previous balances and she is easy to reach by phone.  I wish that there were 100 more Tammy's in the Lollipop Unit!!!

She's a married, mother of two beautiful boys that resides in Kenova (Greenbrier Division).  Tammy doesn't sacrifice her family time by selling AVON.  She simply works it into her daily routine.  She takes up order's from her children's daycare and from her job.  It's smart to work AVON into our daily routine to save our time, money and gas.  Tammy also holds an Associates Degree in Office Administration.  Which explains why she has such a great business ethic.

There are two things that Tammy has done that most of us would not even consider.  One was taking advantage of the one-mone FREE Curves membership and the other was wearing that Silk Tahitian Dress.  WHOA!! 

Tammy is a SWEET HEART!  I am so thankful for setting up a table at the WORKING WOMEN'S LUNCHEON, otherwise, I would not have had the opportunity to meet her.

Hey Lollipop Kids!  I hope everyone is having fun and making lots of sales with their Avon Business.  I recently had the opportunity to set up a table at the Kyova Mall during their Home Expo Event.  I had a great time.  This was my first solo event and I wanted to report to everyone how much fun I had.  The staff at the mall was super.  They were all very helpful and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed.  I had a small selection of inventory items.  Mostly Footworks, Nail Color, and Shower Gels, Body Lotions, and Body Sprays from the Naturals Line. I also had a Glazewear Demo Station (see photo on left).  I had the Glazewear lip colors with disposable applicator for customers to try new lip colors.  I also featured the new In a Wink Instant Eyeshadow.  These went over very well.  Everyone seemed be interested in them.  I sold several boxes.  I gave out one “Try It” Kit.  I’ve already gotten a great response from that customer and I’m scheduled to sign her up as a Representative this week (Angie Henderson).  Additionally, I gained two new businesses that agreed to let me leave brochures with them.  This event was a definite success.  If you have not tried setting up at an event… TRY IT!!!!  Not all will be a hit.  Some will bomb, but you will grow professionally from the experience.

ELEANOR "LYNN" ROWSEY

This West Virginia Representative is celebrating her 1st Anniversary with AVON.  Recently, she rolled-up from the Lightening Unit and is now a big part of the Lollipop Unit.  She has been in our TOP 5 twice in the past 6 campaigns.

I just recently got the chance to meet Lynn for the first time and it was such a delight.  She gave me such a warm welcome and I appreciate that very much.  She's done so well, I just had to meet her and shower her with gifts.  I have to say though, that I am jealous of her beauty shop that is attached to her house.  That is like every girls dream, isn't it?

Lynn actually didn't know that she was doing well with AVON.  Well, I say for a lady who's been in our TOP 5 twice in 6 campaigns and $2112 in sales since campaign #7, she's doing mighty fine!!!

Lynn's daughter is her helper and brings order's to her.  Her son is also thinking about getting involved.  She also tells me that there are four women who sell AVON at her Church.  But she still gets orders.  SWEET!!!

I'm thrilled to have met Lynn and I look forward to another AVON year with her.


Ashley Tolliver

This representative was hesitant about selling AVON at her job.  She knew there was already a women selling AVON at "Cook's" in Grayson.  Although She didn't want to step on anyone's toes, Ashley found out really quick that selling at her job was a great idea.  She received bunches of orders!  But when that other Representative decided to quit selling, guess who got ALL of the stranded customers?  ASHLEY TOLLIVER did!  Sweet!!

Ashley has only been with AVON for 8 campaigns.  She has already sold $2074 in products.  Her orders totaled $542 in Campaign #15. That made her our #1 Seller last campaign.  This campaign, she has sold $343 in products and is our #4 Seller!  GREAT JOB, ASHLEY!!! 

Even though Ashley is still new, she don't let her customers run over her.  If they don't pay her for their products, she quickly returns it, keeps it or sells it to someone else.  She don't let it affect her business in any way. Ashley told me that she also has a few customers that give her large orders. She admits that she has a hard time keeping up with the demand for brochures. TRUST ME, THAT IS NOT A BAD THING!!!

I'm proud to have Ashley in the Lollipop Unit.  She is definitly the one to watch!!!

PAULA JACKSON

This lovely lady has a great AVON advantage over all of us.  Her order due date is almost a week and a half ahead of us, which means she gets to preview the products before we do.  I'm so jealous!  Currently, She is our only Representative from the Rush area in an RPS schedule of 3.

Paula is the wonderful result from the KYOVA Mall Expo Event last year.  She took a mini-kit to begin taking up orders and a few weeks later, she became a Represenative.  She will be celebrating her first Anniversary next Month.

Paula is one of our E-Representatives who offers her customers the option to order from her online, 24-7.  With up to a 45% earning opportunity, she will get to take advantage of the Summer E-Selling Extravaganza going on right now.  See Important Info tab to find out more. 

I don't necessarrily know Paula's selling strategy, but I do know that she works outside of the home and attends church.  No doubt that her customers come from those sources. She also took over my Catlettsburg customer's when I cleaned up my customer list.  Thanks Paula!

I have noticed a few SUCCESS BY DESIGN principals being utilized by Paula.  She expanded her knowledge by participating in our first OPPORTUNITY meeting that we had at Applebee's.  Not only did she get a free meal, she was made aware of the serious cash that was available if she decided to start recruiting.  After that, she ordered the FREE leadership kit (above Left) which was packed FULL of information about the Leadership Program.  She also borrowed my collection of marketing books by Lisa Wilber (Click photo on right to go to Lisa Wilber's Website).  Which is also packed full of tips to grow your business.  Paula's sales are growing!  Her activity is growing!  I expect to see her name floating around in our TOP 5 in the very near future!

In the last 34 campaigns, I have been blessed to have Mrs. Cindy Lowe as part of the Lollipop Unit.  It is through her that our team celebrated several milestones last year.  She was one of the first GOING FOR THE GREEN Incentive winners.  This earned her an AVON logo pin and free samples.  When Cindy decided to give Leadership a try, she became the first and only person in this unit to earn her full "FAST START" & "IT PAYS TO ADVANCE" RECRUITING BONUSES.  This earned her around $400 in cash that she used to for a Tennessee shopping trip.  (See insert of Cindy receiving her Unit Leader Pin.)  Because of Cindy becoming our 2nd Unit Leader, I also advanced to higher levels of Leadership and I earned extra bonuses from AVON, as well.  THANKS CINDY!!!

Cindy started out in the top!  She is continuously in our TOP 5 in sales each campaign.  Her sales helped her achieve PRESIDENTS CLUB and #3 in total sales in the Lollipop Unit last selling cycle.  She finished out as #25 in total sales in our District.  CINDY'S THE BOMB! 

I have found out a great deal about her selling strategy through her participation in meetings and incentives.  In the beginning, Cindy gave her customers alot of skin care and fragrance samples.  She also stocked up on products and used them to reward her large-ordering customers with it.  She also rewarded customer's who picked up their order's from her.  THAT IS AN EXCELLENT GAS SAVING TIP!!!  When Cindy's order's were looking low, she told me that she would alow her customers to shop from her DEMO BOOK to boost her sales for that campaign.  She didn't do this very often because she didn't make any profit, but it was a nice gift to her customers.  Although it turned out to be a flop, Cindy also set up at a booth at the KYOVA Mall Expo last year.  After all of her effort, she sold only one item at this event.  (See Photo)

When Cindy started in leadership, she found recruits by simply recruiting her customres and by passing out flyers around her town.  I remember her telling us about placing flyers on magazine racks at Wal-Mart.  She also had an ad on the TV advertising network.   It wasn't long before Cindy got noticed.  She was the only person EVER selected for a PEER REVIEW from the Kentucky Division Manager, Julie Varella.  Cindy also qualified to participate in the District's, PARTNERING FOR SUCCESS TEAM. 

Even though there have been alot of trials, Cindy don't let any of the drama, a surgery or pink shoe's bring her down.  She is driven!  Look out your window, you might see her reaching for the stars!

When Rhonda first started selling AVON, 59 campaigns ago, she was working 2 jobs and going through a difficult pregnancy.  Even though her plate was full at that time, she never missed an order or a payment.  She has always been very consistant.  Here lately, I can't seem to look at a report without seeing her name.  She is now our newest Beauty Advisor AND E-Representative.  Her sales have gone from $30 to $130 to $280 just in the last few campaigns.  WOW!  That is a HUGE INCREASE!!  She says she has more time to sell since her baby is older. She also said she bribed the ladies at her church with a brochure and a delicious brownie.(GOOD THINKING!) Rhonda has even inquired about coming to our next sales meeting on November 12th.

THIS REPRESENTATIVE HAS BEEN WITH OUR UNIT THE LONGEST. SHE RUNS HER BUSINESS WITH THE HELP OF HER DAUGHTER, CINDY HALL. JOYCE HAS HAD A GROWTH SPURT IN THE LAST 6 CAMPAIGNS. SHE WAS IN OUR TOP 10 FOR SALES IN C#19 & C#20. SHE WAS ALSO IN OUR TOP 5 FOR SALES INCREASE IN THE LAST QUARTER. I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT JOYCE SELLS ALOT OF BRA'S. SHE ALSO TOLD ME THAT SHE SOLD ALOT OF THE ELVIS PRODUCTS A FEW CAMPAIGNS AGO. HER GRANDSON HAS ALSO HELPED HER.

This is one OUTSTANDING AVON Representative.  Linda just celebrated her first year with AVON and she's already accomplished so many things. First, she has sold over $6615 in products this year.  Last year at our Presidents Club Luncheon, I had to tell our Division Sales Manager who I thought would make Presidents Club the coming year and Linda is the one of the 4 people that I chose.  She has 9 more campaigns to go and is almost there!!!  Linda has been in our TOP SALES over 15 times!!  She is also in the TOP 5 of year-to-date sales in the Lollipop Unit.  Linda is a "TASTE OF PC" acheiver and one of the Districts first "STARS OF TOMORROW" participants.

 Linda is also one of our Unit Leaders with 8 very active representatives in her unit. She has already dubbed her team the name "LIGHTENING UNIT" (after her childhood nickname).  Linda and her unit have sold over $27,600 in products this year.

Linda gives 100%.  She knows what it takes to have a successful business by becoming a Beauty Advisor, an ERepresentative, by selling to businesses, by taking online training, by mentoring her unit, by attending meetings (even meetings 200 miles away) and she doesn't give up even when she wants to pull her hair out.

This Catlettsburg Representative is such a SWEET HEART!! I have had the pleasure of knowing her for 71 Campaigns. Matter of fact, her 3rd Anniversary will be coming up in February.

Lavonna has ALWAYS been a TOP SELLER.  She has reached the PRESIDENTS CLUB sales level two years in a row & she is only 8 campaigns from making it again. Just in case you don't know already, This achievement is earned by having a sales level of more than $10,100 within an AVON year.

Being a Christian and the wife of an Evangelist, Lavonna pray's for her AVON Business often and trusts that the LORD will continue to BLESS it for her.  Currently she Ranks #3 in Year-to-Date Sales in the Lollipop Unit and she Ranks #29 out of our whole District. I know Lavonna gets plenty of orders from her Church. She also has a great strategy for maintaining her customer base.  She has told me in the past, that she ALWAYS GIVES HER CUSTOMERS BROCHURES AND SHE FOLLOW'S UP EVERY CAMPAIGN.  That is absolutly VITAL in this kind of business!!! Lavonna has also taken brochures to businesses and she has canvassed neighborhoods to find new customers.

Lavonna is a CERTIFIED BEAUTY ADVISOR.  This is a title that she earned by taking a full day training course in doing makeovers. Although this class is no longer available to AVON Representatives, I'm sure that the value of taking that class has made a huge impact on her Business.

Lavonna has tried her hand at Leadership in the past and she did an excellent job at it. But she admitted that Leadership was just not for her.  That is okay, because............

YOU ROCK!!!

  MELISSA LOVEJOY

Melissa signed up to be an AVON Representative at a TRI-STATE JOB FAIR 40 campaigns ago.  She is one of the few from the Job Fair that even placed an order and she continues to run her business.

Since she has become an AVON Representative, she has gotten married and she has moved over 50 miles away.  One thing good about AVON is that you can take it with you anywhere you go.

Melissa is an E-Representative and a Beauty Advisor with AVON.  Last campaign, she had a large increase in sales and she said it was due to orders from her co-workers. One of the co-workers was a MAN!!  She has also canvassed neighborhoods for customers by hanging brochures on door knobs. 

I am proud to have Melissa on our Team.

AVON CHRISTMAS PARTY

If you were not there, you missed out on good food, nice gifts and the best drama in the Tri-State. Aside from the crowd, the long lines, the cat fights and not being able to hear or see a thing, it wasn't too bad of a party. The highlight for me was the fact that I got to get away from my kids for about 5 hours.  I appoligize for any frustration this party may have caused the Lollipop Unit.  I do appreciate you all for being good sports and I hope that you will continue to attend future meetings.  They are very important because of the interaction you get to have with your AVON peers.  They are also equally important for training & motivation. 

 

CRISTAL STAPLETON

Inspirational...Impressive...Outstanding!!!

That is the TOP 3 words that come to my mind when I think of Cristal Stapleton.  We are definitly going to see her name ALOT in the near future.  Cristal is one of my friends from High School.  Over the last few years, we have crossed each other's paths several times.  Most recently, we met up at the Ashland Christmas Parade.  Cristal told me that she came to the parade with the intent of finding me, because she had decided to sell AVON.  HOW COOL IS THAT? 

Cristal just finished her 5th campaign and she has already sold over $1564 in products.  She has worked very hard!! Her sales of at least $175 per campaign helped her acheive her first AVON Logo pin and 100 Free Samples with AVON'S "GOING FOR THE GREEN " Incentive. WAY TO GO CRISTAL!!

Now, she is working on her "FAST START BONUS" by recruiting New Representatives to her own team.  So far, she has earned 10 free, Rich & Famous DVD's for her efforts.  She will earn $30 for each of her next 11 recruits and up to $350 in additional bonuses if she becomes a Unit Leader by Campaign #4. 

Cristal has no plans of slowing down. She has all kinds of things in the works, such as a possible fundraiser and a party.  She told me she has already given out over 100 brochures for campaign #3.  WOW!  Cristal's secret could be summed up into this....  SHE GIVES BOOKS TO EVERYONE!  She's not a bit shy.  Her customers come from Family, Friends, Helpers, Hotels, Schools, Hospitals & the City Bus.  She is even in the process of getting approved to sell a line of make-up to a Funeral Home. HOW CLEVER!!!  Cristal, is truly an inspiration to me because she does not even own a car.  She conducts her business via the city bus & through family.  Not even once have I heard her complain.  She makes the best of it.  I could learn so much from her. 

Cristal has her sights set on Presidents Club for 2009.  With her determination and follow up skills, I have no doubt that we WILL see her there!

Judy Maynard was one of my customers for a few campaigns. She told me she use to order AVON from women at work, but they were not very consistant. So she decided to give AVON a try.  That was 32 campaigns ago.  Since then, this KDMC employee has sold over $8026 in products!!!  She is only $1595 away from achieving Presidents Club for 2008.  Last year at the Presidents Club Celebration, I was asked to pick some women that I thought would achieve Presidents Club this year.  Judy was one of the 4 Representatives that I chose.  I AM POSITIVE THAT SHE CAN DO IT!!!!

Judy has been in the Lollipop Units TOP 5 more than 12 times.  Her sales are among the TOP 50 of the whole district (around 400 people).  In fact, she is #2 in Sales Increase over last year's selling cycle. Judy's sales increase is over $6500.  WOW!!!  If she continues on this path until the close of campaign #7, she will be in the running for an AVON Award at the Presidents Club Celebration this Spring in Lexington. Her Year-to-Date sales also give her a place in the TOP 10 of the Lollipop Unit.

Meet my AUNT, Tammy Varney from Chesapeake, Ohio.  When I was a kid, Tammy sold AVON for many years. Right after Tammy quit selling, I began selling.  Several years later, Tammy Re-joined AVON as a favor to me. Since then, Her business has TAKEN OFF!!  Last year, She acheived Presidents Club and she had the one of the highest number of "customers served" in our Division.  WOW--TAMMY!!

In the last 13 campaigns, Tammy has re-instated her account and she has joined forces with her Husband Tom. Their total sales are over $4200 already!!  AWESOME!!!  As a result, they have won their GOING FOR THE GREEN incentive.  Which earned them an AVON LOGO PIN and 10 FREE PACKS OF SAMPLES.  They have also been among the Lollipop Unit's TOP SALES more than 7 times.  This includes being #4 in sales in campaign #4.

What's their secret.  Well, Tammy takes up orders from Family and Friends. Several of her customer's are BIG fan's of the MARK product line. Tom takes up orders from women at his work. He has also hung flyers at a local business.  Tammy has a HELPER to take up orders for her, as well. As a reward, She gives her helper her FULL DISCOUNT each campaign.  Having a Helper is a VERY SMART business strategy!!!  Tammy also gives 2 samples of NEW PRODUCTS to every customer each campaign.  Besides that, she wears the products.  She absolutly loves AVON's clothing, shower gel's and bubble bath!

I LOVE YOU GUYS!!  I'M SO GLAD TO HAVE YOU BOTH IN THE LOLLIPOP UNIT!!

SHELIA AMERICAN HORSE

With a smile that can just light up a room, Shelia is one of the most friendly and warm woman that I have ever met.  Her personality even reflects in her telephone voice.  I guess that experience comes from her regular job at a local call center.  Speaking of which, Shelia has said it actually takes her several trips to carry all of her deliveries into the center.  WOW!!  She's obviously selling up a storm there!!!   It is such a smart move to include AVON with your regular daily activities, such as your job.  GOOD THINKING SHELIA!!!   Shelia has also told me that she has a few  wonderful customers who may orer anywhere from $70-$160 in AVON products from her in a campaign.  SO COOL!!!  

One of the things that amazes me the most about Shelia is how she manages to work a job, raise a family, go back to school, run an AVON business and still have time to reconcile her CRAZY AVON invoices down to the last penny.  No doubt, I'd pull my hair out!!! 

Shelia has been with AVON for over 68 campaigns with year-to-date sales of $9260!!!!  She has made some very powerful strides to grow her business in 2007.  Last Spring, She ended the fiscal year with sales over $10,500. That earned her GUARANTEED 40% commission (among other things), for one whole year in AVON'S Presidents Recognition Program.  As you can see from the total up above,  she's not far from acheiving it again this year.  Since Shelia is a Presidents Club member, she is one of only four people in the Lollipop Unit who are eligable to take part in AVON'S PLAY FOR POINTS INCENTIVE <<click to find out more.

Shelia's year-to-date sales rank her in the TOP 40 of the whole district and in theTOP 10 of the Lollipop Unit.  She has been in our TOP 5 IN SALES more than 15 times in the 2007-2008 selling cycle.  AWESOME!!!!!

Shelia has spent some time this year to expand her knowledge by taking close to 15 non-beauty & leadership training courses online."Expanding One's Knowledge" is one of AVON's best Sucess by D.E.S.I.G.N. Principals!!

After being offered a FREE DOWLINE last fall, Shelia decided to give Leadership a try.  She ended up with 4 recruits that earned her around $90 in Leadership Bonuses, as well as other prizes from our District Manager.  Her team alone sold more than $9254 in just 12 campaigns.  OUTSTANDING!!!

I'M CERTAIN THAT THERE ARE MORE GREAT THINGS TO COME FROM SHELIA!!!!  WAY TO GO!!!

JUDY RUNYON

I have known Judy most of my life.  I grew up around her family and I use to play with her children.  She is a South Point, Ohio Representative.  She also works with the School System. 

Judy can sell alot of AVON!!!  In fact, she has sold over $6639 in products in the 2007-2008 selling cycle.  I know that she takes up plenty of orders from her family & from the women at the school.  Her Campaign #6 sales of $448 has, not only been her highest order this year, but it is also among her top 5 highest orders since she started re-selling AVON one year ago.  She has also been in our TOP 5 IN SALES three times.  Judy has sold AVON (off and on) for many years.  Even when she wasn't selling AVON for herself, Judy was a HELPER.  She had took up orders for other Representatives and myself.  

Although Judy is not in Leadership, she has recommended several AWESOME women to AVON.  One of those women happens to be JOAN HALL, from the Lightening Unit.  Joan has sold over $4000 in products herself.  WOW!!!! 

Judy also referred a group to me that needed to raise funds.  Although she could have done the fundraiser herself, she admitted to me that she truly did not want to mess with it.  And that is okay!  

With all this being said, THANK YOU SO MUCH JUDY!!!  You have played a huge role in my personal sales growth, as well as the growth of the Lollipop Unit.  I am very thankful to have you as part of this team.  I hope to celebrate many more Anniversaries with you in the years to come!

"People kept asking me when I was going to re-start..."

That is what made Nicole decide to come back to AVON 14 campaigns ago.   Nicole wears many hats.  She is a single Mom.  She has already achieved her Associates degree and working towards her Bachelors Degree.  She also works Part time with Autistim and AVON.  To top it off, her child is in sports.  WOW!  I asked her how she managed doing all this stuff and was still able to let her child be in sports.  She told me she has alot of support from her family and friends.  She also said that having her child in sports is vital to keeping him away from the effects of peer pressure.

Nicole's order's average about $100 per campaign.  In the last 6 campaigns, she has had total sales of $595.  She admits that if she dedicated more time and effort to her AVON Business she'd do even better.  I'm proud of Nicole for her efforts.  She has tried very hard to build her business.  She has canvassed neighborhoods for customers only to find that many of them already had a representative serving them.  That can be discouraging.   Nicole has even hung brochures on the backs of restroom doors at her University. 

Some of the most successful AVON representatives report that their business grew when they included AVON with their everyday tasks.  Hmmm!  That's something to ponder....How many people do we see each day?

I have the upmost respect for Nicole and wish all the best for her BRIGHT FUTURE!!!

 

BRITTANY MOORE

"I wish I could go to school full time & work part time..."

If I'm not mistaken, that kind of sounds like it might be one of Brittany's long term goals.  And an EXCELLENT goal, indeed!  She says that maybe eventually she will be able to do that with her AVON business taking off. 

This young lady works full time at a Hospital and attends school part time.  She admits that it is very tiring to her.

Brittany was recruited by a former representative, Missy Layne.  She has been with us for 30 campaigns.  Her average order is $125 and she has sold over $753 in the last six campaigns.  There has been a huge increase in the amount of Brittany's orders over the last six months.  Her average order used to be under $50.  I'm glad to see her order size increase because when our order's increase, so do our profits. 

I also want to mention that even if an average order is $50...IT IS STILL A VERY IMPORTANT TO PLACE AN ORDER, NO MATTER WHAT THE SIZE IS.

WORKING WOMENS EXPO, BIG SANDY

RHONDA BURKHART, CRISTAL STAPLETON & TERRI OSBORNE

 

The 2008 Working Women's Expo at Big Sandy Arena was a GREAT Field Trip for our team.  From start to finish, Representatives from the Lollipop Unit learned how to work an event.  For starters, we decorated our booth with basic things, such as:  pieces of material (for a tablecloth), Christmas garland, fabric flower petals, AVON poster's & baloons.  Next we added each of our own AVON brochures, flyers and samples to the table.  Rhonda Burkhart added a special touch by making FLOWER, By Cynthia Rowley scented sachetts (see photo on left).  These cute cotton balls were wrapped in tuelle and tied with a ribbon along with a scanned/printed version of the FLOWER logo.  THE CROWD LOVED THESE SACHETTES!!!!  We actually ran out!!!  We also had a Lip Makeover station (see photo on right) where women could try a sample of any of our GLAZWEAR lipcolors.  This item was cheap to buy, at only $1.99 before a discount.  For under $20, the whole color line was made available to sample from.  For sanitary reasons, each lip wand was removed prior to the event and each woman received a clean lip brush to apply their sample.  Overall, at least 15 women tried out one of our colors.  I even tried a new color, but Rhonda Burkhart told me it was SOOOOOO NOT my color.  LOL!!    This event was an excellent source to find customer and recruiting leads.  Each of our Representatives took turns talking to the women passing by.  They offered free brochures, samples, flyers or a lip makeover.   We also had a drawing for 3 different gift bags for any woman who chose to give AVON a try (either by taking up an order or by becoming a representative at a later date).  They were each given mini-sign-up kits so that they could obtain orders until we follow up with them.  We ended up with about 30 leads for helpers or recruits. These leads were split.  So far, two of the women (Tammy Barrett & Amy Hodge), decided to become Representatives and together they placed over $300 in orders for Campaign #10.  There was also one woman who was undecided about becoming a Representative, but she did take up a small order as a HELPER.  Cristal Stapleton brought, Terri Osborn (one of her new recruits..see photo on the left) to the Expo to observe the event.  WELCOME TO AVON, TERRI!!  Although she had not even placed an order yet, she still participated and worked with the crowd. GREAT JOB!!! Besides the valuable hand's-on training, these Representatives also left with several tools that they can use for their own events, such as:  tips on how to find events, jewelry display's & lead boxes.  Cristal may use her new training to work her own AVON booth a Job Fair next month.  WAY TO GO, CRISTAL!!!

Jane Shick

This Flatwoods Representative decided to join AVON after receiving a recruiting flyer on her door almost one year ago.  It was a rough start for Jane to find customers.  She took brochures to her job at KCU and only a few ordered.  Not enough to carry her and she often thought of quitting.  So Jane decided to canvass neighborhoods for customers.  (See photo below for example of my son canvassing.) She didn't just leave brochures one time, she gave them several chances to order from her before she moved on.  Jane also volunteered to take over half of my Flatwoods Customers.  THANKS JANE!  During the Holiday's, Jane told me she purchased around 40-50 brochures.  One of her best Holiday customers was her Ex-Husband.  Too Funny!  The last I heard, she had 16 Regular Customers!

Jane has also attended several AVON meetings,  a Opportunity Meeting about Leadership and our Christmas Party. The photo from the Left shows Jane checking out her FREE bottle of Cristal Aura that she won as her door prize. 

I am very proud of Jane.  Allthough, I thought I was going lose her several times,  I am thrilled that she still remains with us.  Persistance will Pay off Jane! Just Keep doing what your doing!

LESLIE CALHOUN

This is one of our Grayson Representatives who has been with us for over 33 campaigns.  From the moment I met Leslie, I knew she would totally ROCK!  She had a very professional presence about her.  It seemed as if I didn't even need to explain this business to her.  It was actually kind of intimidating to me.   Even though she had not used AVON prior to signing up, she quickly became a fan of our ANEW THERMAFIRM face cream.  I recall a story about her recent weight loss and how that product helped tighten up loose skin on her face and neck.  That is a wonderful testimony to our products.  Isn't it?

LESLIE'S GOT SKILLS!!!  She's taken all of the online training to become a BEAUTY ADVISOR.  With this added knowledge, she can make the proper recommendations to her beauty and skin care customers.  She has also invested in becoming an E-REPRESENTATIVE. This alows her customers to shop with her 24/7 over her AVON provided website.  Last year, Leslie also held a FUNDRAISER with a cheerleading squad.  She gave the group all of the profits from their $3000 order.  Having that fundraiser boosted Leslie's sales for the year, helping her acheive PRESIDENTS CLUB half way into the selling cycle.  It also gave her 150 customers to follow up on!!!  SWEET!!!

I have the highest respect for Leslie.  Last September, I accidently planned two events for the same exact time.  When I asked for someone to take over the CHILIFEST, Leslie volunteered to work the EVENT.  I was so impressed with Leslie because she provided her own tent and display's.  She ended up selling over $130 in products that day.  (See photo of her event). 

Leslie has also visited the AVON ADVANTAGE PARTNERS on WWW.YOURAVON.COM .  She has been spotted wearing AVON logo t-shirts and using the lipstick ink pens.  You can even see her using her AVON tablecloth in the photo above.  THESE ARE AWESOME ADVERTISING TOOLS!!!

With all this being said....

LESLIE TOTALLY ROCKS!! THIS IS WHY SHE HAD THE HIGHEST SALES OF $12,632 IN THE LOLLIPOPUNIT LAST YEAR!!!

Five Representatives from this team were eligiable to attend the 2008 Presidents Club Luncheon in Lexington, that took place several weeks ago. The following team members had sales over $10,100 last year, which earned them this honor.  LINDA SPENCE, LAVONNA WALLACE, CINDY LOWE, LESLIE CALHOUN & SHELIA AMERICAN HORSE.  I achieved the Honor Society sales level of $20,200 and part of my reward was the opportunity to invite a guest to the Luncheon.  My guest was RHONDA BURKHART, who is also from the Lollipop Unit. 

If I were to describe the Luncheon in a few words, I would say that it was like eating a SWEET TART.  There were moments that I couldn't have been more proud of and moments that I would have rather stood in the terrible thunderstorm going on outside.  The best part of the entire day was getting to spend it with the team members who were able to attend...RHONDA & SHELIA.  Our meal could have been cooked longer, but it was lovely.  Shelia tried to eat everybody's cake!  LOL!  The Embassy Suites Hotel was absolutely beautiful with a tropical water fountain in the atrium and chandeliers.  I'm talking....FANCY!  All Presidents Club members recieved gifts for attending.
